Mother's Day is celebrated in most countries the second Sunday of May. This holiday was celebrated in the United States in 1872 in Boston by Julia Ward Howe, but it wasn't until 1907 that Mother's Day won over other U.S. Cities. Anna Jarvis and other women argued that Mother's Day should become a national holiday. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially proclaimed the second Sunday of May Mother's Day. Flowers are still the most popular and the most offered gift on Mother's Day, and this tradition continues unabated. Florists no longer talk about Mother's day as a single day, they talk about Mother's Day week! Every year our clients contact us to choose a beautiful arrangement for their mother, wife and stepmother. Just about everywhere, flowers can be delivered on Saturday or Sunday depending on their preference, but we must plan ahead of time in order to make sure she is home, because Mother's Day is a very busy time. We celebrate Mother's Day since ancient Greece since this immemorial time, the desire to honor our mother has never wavered. Who deseverves more love than our mother. Mother's Day allows each human being, man or woman, child or adult, to express to their mother all the love and affection they have for her.
